Lent Photo a Day #40Days

Lent Photo a Day #40Days

This is an idea to share a Lenten prayer journal. Each day take a photo that captures the subject on the day. It starts Ash Wednesday, and ends the day before Easter. Might I suggest the word “Resurrection” for Easter Sunday? I’ll be posting mine on twitter @FatPastor, with the hashtags #40Days and #RethinkChurch. I just wish I had instagram. I’ve got a very old camera phone, but it should be an interesting endeavor.

  1. This is a great idea! I’m going to do it!

  2. I want to try it. This makes me wish I had a decent phone with instagram, not my old LG. Oh well.

    Hi Robb,
Came upon the link to your sight on “The Text This Week.” And then was hooked when I saw the Minor Myers quote. I grew up in Bloomington/Normal and my son is a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan. As a freshman he played on the 2005 Final Four team – should have won it that year! Unfortunately, his career was cut short by knee problems but he had a great experience academically and basketball wise at IWU.
This is a great site! Appreciate the focus.

  4. Paul,
I was a 1999 graduate of IWU, and spent many nights in the Shirk Center working in the sports information department. You might be interested in this blog post I wrote a few years ago about that quote, and the power of words. https://fatpastor.me/2009/05/25/go-into-the-world/

Funny I was thinking about doing a photo a day as a Lent challenge. Guess this message is confirmation from God that I’m supposed to do it.
